Trevor Angus (Tka'ast) is a Gitxsan artist from Kispiox, BC, whose mastery spans carving, jewellery, and design. After three years at the Gitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Art under master carvers Ken Mowatt and Vernon Stephens, he expanded his practice through specialized training in jewellery techniques—repoussé, stone-setting, and engraving—with mentors including Phil Janzé, Shawn Edenshaw, and Robert Tait. In 2021, Trevor made history when the University of Northern BC Timberwolves became Canada's first university athletic program to feature a logo designed by an Indigenous artist, cementing his role as a leading voice in contemporary Northwest Coast art.
