Ramy Brooks - Halfdry Salmon Sculpture
Ramy Brooks - Halfdry Salmon Sculpture
Athabascan Artist
The hanging halfdry sculptures are made from moose antler that is stained to look like salmon flesh on one side and the skin/scale on the other side. The tails are created from copper that is etched, sauntered, soaked in patina for texture and color, polished, and shaped. The pieces are riveted together and a sterling silver chain is added to hang the piece. The pieces are inspired by the salmon in the smokehouse as an inspiration for the future and a reflection from our past.
Dimension: 24"L x 6"W
