Holly Churchill is a master weaver of Haida basketry, carrying forward generations of cultural knowledge and artisanal excellence. Raised in Ketchikan within a deeply rooted Haida tradition, she was immersed from childhood in the language, practices, and materials of her heritage. Under the mentorship of her grandmother, the renowned weaver Selina Peratrovich, and her mother, master weaver Delores Churchill, Holly developed exceptional skill in harvesting and preparing traditional cedar bark and spruce roots. Her work represents the culmination of ancestral techniques, cultural continuity, and a lifetime commitment to preserving Haida weaving traditions.
