Corey Moraes (Tsimshian, Raven Clan, Lax Kw'aLaams Band) is an accomplished carver and engraver whose work spans wood, precious metals, and stone. Apprenticed under David Boxley and collaborating with Dwayne Simeon, Moraes has developed a distinctive eye for detail evident in his finely executed designs. His pieces are held in collections across North America, England, and Japan, featured in the American Museum of Natural History's "Totems to Turquoise" exhibition and Ornament Magazine. Recipient of the 2010 Canada Council for the Arts Aboriginal Traditional Visual Art Award, his designs continue to gain recognition through publications and galleries worldwide.
