Totemic Orca Whale Medallion Bronze
Totemic Orca Whale Medallion Bronze
Tlingit art, an essential part of Alaska’s cultural heritage, takes various forms, including totem poles, masks, jewelry, and woven baskets. Today, Tlingit artists continue to exhibit their work in galleries and museums across Alaska, showcasing not only its visual beauty but also its reflection of the Tlingit people's traditions and history. The collaborative design of the Totemic Orca Whale Medallion, created by designer Gunnar Robuck and Tsimshian Alaska Native artist Steffani Coxwell, features the kéet (orca or killer whale) in the Tlingit language. Available in golden bronze, pure copper, 1 oz .999 fine silver, 1 oz single gold relief (24k plating on part of the silver coin), and 1 oz double gold relief (24k plating on both sides), this coin is similar in size to a silver dollar and comes in an airtight container and elegant gift box. The reverse side displays the “Land of Midnight Sun” design.
